Gloria LEUNG, First Runner-up of The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Standard Chartered Hong Kong English Public Speaking Contest 2018 (EPS) Senior Division, won the 2nd Runner Up and Casio Critical Thinking Award in the Grand Final of China Daily “21st Century New Oriental Cup” National High School English Speaking Competition (The Competition) which was held in Hangzhou from 13 to15 April.
A total of 500,000 secondary students from 48 Chinese provinces joined the Competition, including 4 Hong Kong representatives which won prizes in EPS in Hong Kong back in February 2018. Gloria performed superbly in the Competition and won prizes for the Hong Kong Team. She is also the youngest student to win prizes in the Senior Division of the Competition.
Keith KWOK, one of the Hong Kong representatives, won the First Honour Award in the Junior Division of the Competition, while Harry CHING and Chantal LEE won the Second Honour Award in the Senior and Junior Division of the Competition respectively.

EPS has been widely supported since its launch in 2004. Over 400 secondary schools in Hong Kong have been participated and the accumulate number of participants has reached over 25,000. The Contest aims to enhance the public speaking skills of the new generation, and to foster and build the self-confidence of participating individuals.
